Privacy Policy for Pokerish

Pokerish ("the app," "we," "our") is a single-player game. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have.

1. Data We Collect

Gameplay data (local only)

Your game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and isn't tied to any personal identity.

Anonymous leaderboard entries

If you play a Daily, Weekly, or other timed event, the app creates an anonymous player ID (no name, email, or account required) and submits your score, round count, and a randomly generated pseudonym (e.g. "Copper Fox") to our leaderboard database. You can change your pseudonym in-app at any time. This ID cannot be linked back to you personally.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and AdMob to understand how the app is used (e.g. sessions, mode selection, run outcomes) and to measure ad performance. This includes automatically-collected technical data such as device type, general location (country/region level), app usage events, and advertising identifiers. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account information, because the app has no login or account system.

Advertising

The app shows ads via Google AdMob (video/rewarded and interstitial ads). Google and its partners may use advertising identifiers and other technical data to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles this data.

App integrity

We use Google Play Integrity (via Firebase App Check) to verify that requests to our backend come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app. This is a technical security check and does not identify you personally.

2. Your Choices

• Ad personalization / consent: If you're in the EEA, UK, or another region with applicable consent requirements, you'll be shown a consent form on first launch. You can review or change your choice anytime via Settings → Privacy Options.
• Pseudonym: You can change your displayed leaderboard name at any time in-app.
• Opting out of data collection: You can limit ad tracking through your device's system settings (e.g. Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

3. Data Sharing

We don't sell your data. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the app work:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Firestore database, App Check) — see firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — see policies.google.com/privacy

4. Data Retention

Leaderboard entries are retained for the relevant event period (e.g. a daily or weekly leaderboard) and may persist afterward as historical records. Since accounts are anonymous, there's no personal profile to delete on request, but you can stop leaderboard participation at any time by not playing timed events.

5. Children's Privacy

Pokerish is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves (e.g. new features or ad partners). Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
